Wonderful Weather, "interesting" winds and a wonderful atmosphere at Great Moor Sailing Club (which was celebrating its 40th anniversary on the same day - with a major, fun open day) greeted the participants for this years Regatta.

A fleet of Lasers, Toppers, Gulls and Picos took part, with one race in the morning and two in the afternoon.

Much thanks to everyone who turned out to take part and to run the event.

We were delighted that the County Commissioner could join us for prize giving.

In addition to presenting prizes and trophies to the participants a special - and very much deserved - Merit Award was given to Ann Rand in recognition of her outstanding contribution to sailing in the District. It was noted that we probably have the strongest sailing focus of any Scout District in the UK - and we are about as far from the sea as it is possible to be!! Well done Ann - we really do appreciate all of your dedication and hard work.
